Hey guys , fitted the th350 and four wheel drive train to the big block, and well stripped the clutches , killed the pump , didnt go with a bang tho, just a big puddle under neath.Question : Couple of days after i removed the tranfer case and trans , had the trans completly overhauled new pump etc...Now i bought a 3000stall tourque converter from B&M , ive run the truck for a few days to bed it all in, and it all seems to be running great! the only problem is i have one hell of a leak again , on closer inspection its coming from were the np205 and the transmission connects .There seems to be a little gap like the bolts at the bottom have come loose, but should there be oil leaking out of this area  ??? I thought there would be some sourght of seal there :doah:. Any advice would be appriciated! Still trying to put picks up of the k5,no luck so far, if anybodys intrested then go to you tube and type in 454 blazer , its white with 2 blue stripes.cheers:D

There is a output seal on the th350. You could be putting a bind on the output shaft with the bolts loose causing it to leak but I would replace it anyway.

Bolt size

Make sure the bolts are in the correct place. It takes two sizes, one size for the top and one for the two bottom holes. There is a round black rubber seal that goes around the 205 adapter and sits inside a groove inside the th350. You can't really see them but if you zoom in you might.

That's a great lift bracket you fabricated for the 205... :)

I had nightmares about the day I would have to put it back in by myself. Had a extra 205 case lying around and got to thinking, and presto.

I will say this:
You have a BBC that has most of the power at lower RPM, with a stock converter you stand to kill your tranny, with a 3000 RPM you are executing it with no mercy.
PLus the bolts that connect the tcase adapter to the tranny are threaded in aluminum, they strip very easy.
I got some longer bolts and ran them thru and added nuts on the other side, for the 2 that will clear at least, the other 2 are blind you can't do that, but I got longer ones to have more threads hold it better.
I would say first thing go back and get a low stall stock preferably torque converter.
Hi stall works for light cars with small blocks to wind up the engine and get enough RPM's before the clutches grab, for wheeling unless you are doing floating over water, you don't need this, you only would be burning the clutches because you are always below or at the stall speed.

Hi Iceman, thanks for the advice i tried the touque converter out a few days ago in 4wd drive and its exellent, tranny is holding up well , good idea about the bolts ! when i floor it now at around 3000 rpm all i leave behind is some awsome black stripes , thankfully not any bits of transmission 8)

I just noticed now.
You in Bahrain?
So I am guessing your wheeling is mostly in the desert?
or sand beaches?
The 3000 RPM tc might be OK there, it's on the slow speed that you will kill your tranny, you want to get a stall speed that is a few 100 RPM's slower than the RPM's you'll be turning when driving most of the times, and also just lower than the peak TQ point of your engine.

Yes im in bahrain and all there is here is sand to wheel in , its still alot of fun tho , especially when it rains!! I run a 280 comp cam so the torque converter is about spot on for the pull of the engine , run a holley 750 d pumper with performer rpm intake , with some huge headers, its on you tube if your intrested , just type in 454 blazer , mines the white with blue stripes.
