Im looking to connect 2 tanks in the bed of my truck, i have the high pressure hose connected to a pressure relief valve and then a short hose with the tank fitting. I was told 2 different things, you guys that have done it please fill me in. One they said just a t with the 2 forklift tank fittings on one end and after the t puit the pressure relief valve. The other more cost way , i was told that a t and the 2 forklift tank fittings is fine but there is some special 100.00 safety valve that should be there. Please let me know, i only have one tank mounted now and i want to do 2 that are hooked up at one time b4 i wheel.

Why not mount two tanks, but only hook up one at a time. That way when you run out you know you had better turn around and head back to camp.

I was thinking of mounting 3 tanks, but hooking up 2 at a time. Or hooking 2 tanks up and opening one valve until its empty then the other valve to keep going instead of switching the whole tank.

I run two tanks, I just move the hose over to the other when the first one runs out...

If you do have both hooked up, you only want to have one open at a time... If you have both open the propane can flow between the tanks... I've got a buddy that used a t in his line to hook up two tanks...

I messed up and drilled the hole in the bed in the front corner( rather no drill another unless i have too) and it has some slack but not enuff, do they make a short extension hose...? I dont wana have to unclamp, move em and reclamp, a short hose will be real nice, with the two tanks. Or even the fittings and i can build my own .

Maybe ill either add a piece of hose or just get a longer piece that reaches the two.

I use field fitting and build my own hoses... You could build a short piece that'll reach, I just drilled the hole in the middle...

I have a 16 inches of hose here and one field fitting, where can i get another and also a fitting to connect it to my hose..?

I got all my stuff from a local place called Williams Oil Filter Service Co...

They built all types of hoses and hard lines... They also sell parts so you can build your own... That's where I got all the field fittings for my full hydro as well...

Look around your place for a company that sells and services hydraulic parts, they will probably have the propane ones to...
