Re: 700r4 to NP205 the long way

ok, almost ready. got all the parts:

1 7/8” spacer for the rear part # 7Q35A $45

np205 to th350 advance adapters #50-5302 $270 1-800-350-2223 ext#524

27 spline drive sleeve Chevy stock part #6273964 $60 www.ebay.com

*new* 10mm X 1.5 X 3' metric all-thread $15 from local farm supply shop

i pulled my NP241 off(what a mess) started dry fitting parts, it seems as though I will need to take a 1/4" off the end and roughly 1/8" of which is splines.

Re: 700r4 to NP205 the long way

just in case anyone ever reads this. you have to shorten the shaft by 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch to get the 700r4 to connect to the np205 with the adapter. i will post pics asap.

Re: 700r4 to NP205 the long way

good info. that sucks you have to shorten the shaft though. We did that conversion on my budys 85 that had the 208 and we didnt need to trim the shaft at all. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: 700r4 to NP205 the long way

what did you use for the bolts or all-thread. namely where did you get the metric 10mm 1.5 all thread or did the 3/8 standard all-thread work and still holding.

TIA
