This is the solenoid/relay whatever for my fans. How do I identify this to get a replacement that is sufficient? Just for a spare to have in the rig. It is still working but is very old.

12v continuous duty solenoid. 3 terminal grounded base. 7-1019 part number, for lookup /purchase at local stores.
So what makes that one a better choice than the 16 dollar to 60 dollar options?

I would try to stick to name brands, if possible.
Second Cole heresy. They have a coated version that will stand up to wet dirty environments.
