If there in decent shape, that's a fair price IMO.

As to check if its open, you'll have to pull the diff cover.

how will i know if it has limited slip or not what do i look for im kinda stupid with axles

sounds like a normal price to me. friend of mine just paid 300 for a good set with 4.11s in them

get the rear axle off the ground and spin one tire. If it is open the other tire won't turn.

The gov-lok (the only limited slip type diff available for a FF14 bolt) will act just like an open diff until the wheelspeed differential is 100 RPM.

Your method works for clutch type posi's and lockers, but not this one. You need to pull the cover to know for sure.

I paid 250 for a 10b/14bff with 4.10s gov lock rear. I think it was a good deal

Sounds good to me... if I remember correctly I paid like $450 for a 14ff/10b with 4.10's with the rollers. They were in good shape out of a running suburban.

idk maybe it does? wont it say dana 44 stamped on the axle tube? can you tell from teh pics

a 10 bolt will have ears that stick off from the bottom of the diff housing, you can see one in the pic.

a d44 will have that cast into in the lower right of the housing on the angled part.

alright thanks. id didnt know. im gonna look at them tommorow and pay for them. im super excited that i can actually drive the truck without hoping the rearends gonna explode. the blazer is parked under a tarp now:mad::mad::mad: but i will prob put them on and leave it on some jack stands. next is wheels!
