Ok, so when I got my 89 Jimmy it had the typical adjustable column sloppiness. So when I tore it down to tighten the bolts I noticed something. Ill try and do my best to describe this without a schematic, inside the column after you remove the plastic plate that has the turn signal contacts on it. There is a set of two copper contacts bent and different angles that go to a plastic plug that is right in front of the tumbler housing. In order to remove the tumbler lock bolt you have to pull this set of contacts out. Hopefully someone is still following me, anyways my problem/question is, this piece was broken when I went to remove it and what the hell is it?
:dunno:

that is your "key in ign" buzzer contacts. I've discarded them on some rigs.. not a big deal.

I thought that was the contact for the horn? Maybe it also controls the ignition buzzer but I know for a fact it does control the horn.
