i have a 77 jimmy with the 12 bolt and a gov loc:doah: i am swapping a 14ff out of a 75 suburban. i did a search and i get two different parts people are recomending. napa part #puj447 and puj348 and they are way different.
so if any of you have done this please help me with your wisdom:bow:

I believe the dif between them is one is a 1330 to 1350 joint and the other is a 1310 to 1350 joint. You will need the 1310/1350 joint. I don't know right off which PN is which though. Just measure accross your 12 bolt joint to get that dimension and have the parts guy pull both and take the one you need.

A 1330 was never used on the GM trucks. It's an S44.

Anywho, the joint the original poster needs is a Napa 348 or a Neapco 3-3140.

http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPag...ral+Joint+(U-Joint)+-+Combination+-+Universal would this be it? its the 348

thats the one i had to buy when going from a 10 bolt to a 14 bolt. if there aint a napa near you like there one around here i think you can just type that part number in autozone and get it. i went to a local place and got it

I also just notoiced the one pictured there has all 4 external style clips. Did the earlier K5 driveshafts use this style? My 89 uses internal on the driveshaft side of the U-Joint.

see what i mean there is lots of conflicting info. did you post an ad on craigslist looking for a driveline?
