Got my plug and play wiper delay only to find a discrepancy in the plugs. Unless you know something I don't I will assume the dash mount P&P wiper delay only works for the years 78 through 83. I took a quick look at the LMC catalog which breaks the dash mount switch designs into the following years.

1. 73-74
2. 75-77
3. 78-83

First three pics are my 77 style plug and switch. the next post will show 78-83.

Not sure if I'm understanding your post or not, but I'm curious to hear from other '73-80 folks on this. I just know that you can make the later design fit older dashes, but a fair amount of cutting required. I only thought there would be two designs, not three. So what's the previous one look like?

I do know there is an earlier design delay wiper setup, I've seen it, just don't know what year exactly.

If you check the LMC catalog it shows one similar to mine for 73-74 except that it has one screw mount hole on each horizontal end with a very slightly different housing.

The 78-83 looks exactly like the second switch I have pictured.

What I'm saying is that the "plug & play" delay switch does not plug right into pre 78 models.

Gotcha. :)

Do they list a delay switch for your application at least?

Last time I listed a later delay control/module in the for sale section I got a pretty good response, if you don't plan to use it otherwise.

I got the delay module and switch to work in my 74. I used my trusty multi meter to figure out the connections, and then spliced everything together. Not plug and play for me, but it does work.
