1/2 ton status
It has been a long time since I've been in the garage but I need some quick help before I make a purchase.
90 or 91 2wd Suburban 350 700r4 for $600. I have been looking for something with a nice interior and this fits the bill. Power everything and it works. Carpet, seats, and headliner is in excellent shape. Only two faults...cracked dashboard and missing passenger seat. Said he might be able to get it back from the previous owner.
The body looked straight but it was also in the dark. I'm going back this evening to check out the body closer. As far as I could see, there was no rust under the thing. I know it will need to be sanded down and painted but I think I can swing that probably this summer.
I asked a long time ago and I know the 90 would work but can't remember if a 91 will swap bodies with a 76.
Also, the 350 in it has 40k on a rebuild and sounded very smoothe compared to my wore out 400. I know it is not the best option to run a stock small block 350 with 38.5s but will the 350 off the 700r4 bolt right into my turbo 350 tranny? At least until I rebuild the 454 that I have.
