convert 2WD 700-R4 to a 4WD

ok my 700-R4 in my K-5 went last wed. and i've been looking for a tranny, my friend has a 2WD 700-R4 out of his silverado.... what do i need to do to make it work in my 4WD k-5...? can i just take the 2WD tailshaft off of his 700 and mount my t-case to it or do i need to change the output shaft and other stuff as well, thanks

the output shaft of the 2wd will need to be changed to the one in your 4wd model, to do that requires a complete tear down. the output is the last thing to come out of the tranny

allrigh ill just find one that is already a 4x4 so i dont need to do any screwing around with tearing it down
