Guys i have now on my blazer TH400 and it start to die! Im thinking of convert the automatic tranSmission to manual! So are u agree with me or just start to fix my transmission?
And which is better for me manual or auto??

if you are running it in the sand most of the time, a stock manual will last just about forever. You could build a heavy duty TH400, but still would not last as long.

I like autos better just for the simplicity of driving.

the th400 will be much nicer for your kind of driving, in the sand when you shift a manual, you lose momentum, I say rebuild the th400.
It should live a long time with your truck even just a stock rebuild.

ive got a manual and 38.5 boggers and 4.56 gears. ive yet to mess the trans up and i hammer on the skinny pedal. love mine lol no autos for this chevy guy

we are talking about driving style more than anything else here. He lives in the sand box, so an auto is better.
And a th400 rebuilt to stock should work fine for him for a long time.

I agree the auto is probably a better choice for your style of driving, but that said, if you go manual then just build a motor that will rev to like 9k, then you won't have to shift as much :D

That will be a bit hard, he's running a 454 and in Jordan, I don't think they have the shops that will build a screamer like that :pimp:
