Since the "new" core radiator support is an OE style part, the bolt holes matched up perfectly. And I think these solid chrome bumbers with the gaurds look much better than the 89-91 style bumpers with the plastic strip that runs across the front. Just my opinion.

All that is left is to install the bracketry for the headlights, bolt the trim on, and modify the wiring.

Now, splicing a brand new 85-87 headlight wiring harness to the original 90 harness was not that difficult. Im all about doing something the right way and not doing it half-way. But since the new harness from LMC has an end fitting that seems to plug into something that is none exsitant, I had to get out the wire cutters and some electrical tape. Its only a matter of figuring out wich wires go to the low beams and which ones to the high beams. I used only about half of the new harness and basically just used the fittings that plug into the back of the 87 headlights. What ever works, works right?
After putting the new reproduction grille and headlight bezels on, I wasn't saticfied. It seemed too plain to me and needed something a little extra.

On the original grilles, the center strip was usually painted the same color as truck while also having some stamped aluminum trim pieces and of course the bow tie in the middle. So, after sanding and priming, I looked around for some matching silver paint. Im not the best painter but after 3 coats of color and 3 coats of clear, I think it turned out alright. Espicially since this was done on the balcony of my apartment during the night.

After letting the clear coat dry for 24 hours, I pulled off the tape and layed on some flexible trim strip in the same pattern that the original grilles were done.

I never put a bow tie on the front. I think it looks cleaner with out it. I dont have a pic with the modified grille on yet but im sure ill get one for another thread. Im not an expert by any means but if you were looking to do this to your chevy truck, I hope these threads gave you some now how and helped out. Thanks.
