Ok here is my question guys I have a 1988 Crew Cab with a sbc with just heat. My buddy had a crew cab with ac that he is partin out and I was wondering if I could take all his ac equipment and put it in my truck dash controls vents lines blower box condensor etc...

Thanks In Advance J.

You can, but it's not a bolt in. Firewall is different, unsure if it's just some cutting, or if you'd need to make a plate due to the difference.

It's doable. Those AC "suitcases" tend to be a bit fragile though, might have a hard time getting it out intact.

the whole location is different, i went from a/c to non-a/c and thought i could just switch plenums. they werent even close, but found an aftermarket company that makes fiberglass ones, IDRC the website though.

I got to figure something out lol I want ac in my truck... Hmm maybe I will do a vintage air setup or somehting??

What I did is that I had my clean tub which didn't have A/C and my old damaged (Totaled from an accident) A/C equiped tub, so when I was rebuilding from the frame up, I cut the piece from the firewall that was different and grafted it on my firewall, after all was cleaned up and painted, you couldn't tell it wasn't original.
The difference is in the both the location of the opnenings and the profile, one has a bulge and the other is flat.
