just like the title, do i just knock the little silver caps outof the axle and tear it down a normal fornt end, or is it diff?

i can just put the "guts" from my spare 6-lug into the 8-lug fullltime right?

pull or knock of the cover, should have 2 snap rings. Take them out & pull the drive-flange out. Then just install lock-outs in the usual manner.

as long as both are internal style yes. they use the same lockout

Not sure I am folowing? Are you talking about the lockout hub or the bearing hub?? some pics showing what you are talking about would help a lot too.

thats what the 1/2 tons hub looks like

and well i cant find a pic of the one int he shop. it looks like the above, except for the part where the hub meets the flange ont eh disc. the disc has a bunch of like squares cut out...but thats prolly normal haha

yes that is normal & has nothing to do w/ the lockouts. Those square cut-outs are on the rotor. You will not be in there that far.

yes exactly. once i thought about it i feel 110% retarted:doah:

ah well now i know...

diff topic the 14ff...ive got a srw to pull the drums i need to remove the axle shafts and then what? i have never quite understood these things...:haha:

pull the axle shaft, remove bearing preload adjusters (just like a frt hub) & pull the hub, the drum will come w/ it.
