Hey guys,

I got a deal on a NP205 that was made for a SM465. i am putting it behind a TH400. What all is needed to make this work. I already bought the figure 8 adapter to go with the TH400. Ive heard people talk about changing the input from 10 spline to 32 spline and macining the case and adding a bigger bearing.

What is the cost and the best way to do this.

Thanks guys, this is the last piece of my driveline puzzle.

If you're gonna spend the time and money to do this, I'd spend it on putting a 203 in front of it...

Just my $.02...

Yep, a complete tear down of the t-case and then have to machine the input bearing hole larger for the larger bearing. I doubt it's worth it but i have a case that i cleaned and had machined for the large bearing but shipping from here would kill any deal.

The 203 case doesn't need to be machined for a 32 spline, just remove whatever input and swap in the 32 spline.

That's fine if he wants to just swap in a 203. If he is considering a doubler the 203 part is easy but the 205 should still be 32 spline to handle the extra input torque.

Good Advice Guys,

I am thinking about buying one on ebay for $400 already rebuilt and ready to put in. I cant find one with a 32 spline to mate to a TH400.

Thanks Anyway!

The conversion kit from ORD is $190, machining the case shouldn't be more than $100 at the most. If you can tear it down, or have a buddy that knows how to do it, grab a 12 pack, and save yourself $100 plus shipping! At that point if you ever do decide to run a doubler, your 205 will be ready to go.

full step by step reman 203 range box and 205 tcase with upgrades. and tons of pics right here http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253000 dont let the reman job scare ya off of doing it your self. my first time doing both ever. never had a tcase apart before. and at the end a few good links for info and tourqe specs and parts blowups.

oh ya get some pop corn and sit back and read it . its long.

I know a guy here in Houston that has a 32 spline np205 from behind a th400, I think last time he put out an ad for it, he was asking $200. pm me for his contact info if you are interested.

BTW Im in Huntsvegas.
