converting to a 67-68 front end?

You will need a hood, grill, turn signal lenses, fenders (67-68 are different than 69-72 Chevy but the same as 67-72 GMC) and you will also need a 67-70 bumper if you are keeping a stock style bumper.

The frame, cab and radiator support are the same so the bumper, fenders, hood and grill will bolt up assuming you have all the necessary parts.

Im running a 67 truck on a 76k5 chassis and would rather have a 69-72 front end.. if someone wants to trade my front for there newer front im game.. Im in arkansas and my front isnt perfect by no means. it would be good for a trail rig. previous owner hacked up the headlight area on the core support so they could run dual headlights, but the outside grill is fine. If i use it im putting kc lights in there.. im going to taper this soon so if anyone is interested.. hurry

So if I'm reading this right, a 67-68 GMC truck front end will work on my 72 Jimmy?

The reason I ask is I've got some fender / innerfender damage that either needs to be replaced or fixed. Found a 67-68 GMC front clip that looks straight and price is right. Don't want to waste my time though if it won't work on my 72.

I found out the hard way that the 67-68 radiator core support IS NOT the same as 69-72. Also the center brace to the grill and hood latch are different. The headlight buckets are specific to grills. The 69-72 buckets are spot welded to the core support and the holes in the core support are different. The powder coat guy liked doing two core supports for me though!!

But as far as I know, the GMC's were all the same fenders and core support.
