This was an advertisement stunt/gig put on by GM to promote their new 4WD conversions.
HO52/72 axles front/rear 5.14:1 No Spin’s ( Detroit Locker ) 235, SM-420 & Rockwell T-221 T-case and they actually climbed Pikes Peak and did not use the road - it worked !
