I Actually know him. He helped me do my headlight relay and talked about the square body chevy he was getting ready to working on, but I had know idea it was to that extreme. I'm going to have to stop by his shop.
im also confused on the shackles. I guess if both ends can move but are already at such a close to flat angle, they will prolly just move the axle straight up and down...

I haven't had time to read through the thread but I know he talked about using sulastic springs/shackle for a smoother ride, and that was the first time I ever heard of them. Is that what your seeing?
The general idea is sweet, and it looks like a nice truck overall, but that is the strangest combination of quality work and messed up crap I have seen. Usually on a truck done that nice they don't take many shortcuts like that truck has in several places.
