I saw this in a 1972 Jimmy for sale (on ebay). It folds up to make a seat.....Anyone have an idea what it is from or where I could get one? Thanks, Travis

idk but it looks nice. maybe out of a conversion van but they usually have captain seats up front. ive always wanted to put those big captains chairs in my blazer:D

I have searched for a long time and cant find one that looks like it.....

I have been thinking about taking the new ones out of my new Astro when we decide to kill it next year, they would be really nice in the Blazer:

it would really look good in a blazer...i am also thinking of rebuilding my blazer from the inside and trying to give it a luxury look... do you have any more thoughts??

I have considered a few things. If I were to use those seats when we kill the Astro, they would be temporary. The final plan is to use the late model Silverado leather buckets in the front, with a late model Tahoe/Yukon third row bench for the rear. This would move all my seat belts to the seats, and provide really nice seating. They are just very expensive.

I have also started the buildup of my speaker/tool boxes that will include two 6.5" speakers, with a single 10" sub on each side. My amps and electronics will all be mounted behind the side panel on the driver's side, with air solenoids behind the side panel on the passenger side. My panels are going to be custom made by me using a thick plastic stuff from Home Depot. They will be covered with either carpet, or leather, I haven't decided yet. The lower portion of the tool/speaker boxes will be done in bedliner, since they are steel so that they will be securely fastened in the event of a roll over.

All of the taillight wiring is being moved inside the truck, with a simple double gang box to allow easy trouble shooting of issues. I am most likely going to use basic carpet from the local carpet shop, with a good pad, over the top of a bedliner spray.

I am building a custom center console with an incorporated 12v cooler setup, and most likely push button 4x4 using a twin sticked 205 transfer case. Gauges are all going to be mounted in a custom aluminum dash bezel, that I am currently working on. I am currently looking for a couple of 8 position fuse blocks to do a custom wiring setup. I am also building some fiberglass speaker pods to use on the doors, and mounting tweeters on the a-pillars.

My CB is currently mounted in the ashtray opening, with a modified ashtray door to cover the gap below it, the door has three 12v outlets mounted in it. The center of the band on the passenger side is getting an in-dash LCD flip up screen, while the center console will have a 15" screen that motors up out of the back. I have some LED lighting that is going to be used in the cargo area for lighting.

These are just some of my plans, and some things will change as time goes on, and I start purchasing the stuff I need.

Basically, to sum up, once we get the time and money, you and I are gonna have one helluva build-off... :thumb:

I had something very similar, only cloth. The middle seat also lifted up and had storage underneath. I got it at a custom interior shop in Seagoville, TX (just outside Dallas). I bought it about 9 years ago and was about $600 so I dont want to know what it will cost now.

Edit: Mine was a bench seat.

I want in!! I'm gonna be building a custom console and interior this summer using lots of leather and an ample amount of stereo equipment. Let the games begin. :D

I don't know where the center console in the above pic came from, but I did find some cool seats on eBay. I cant post a link to the auction yet (damn 15 post minimum) but do a search for "discountvantruck" on eBay. They do some really cool seats and what not.

Most of the aftermarket seat companies offer a fold-up center seat like that. Check out here or search for more places:http://www.discountvantruck.com/suv40-20-40seats/threesectionsuvseats.htm. There were some companies years ago that made 3rd (center) seats to replace the consoles in Blazers and Broncos, but I haven't seen those in a while. I always wondered what they attached to. But most of the companies still make a generic center seat.

ok guys that console is exactly the same as the on that is part of my custom bench, you cant see much of it and ill see what i can get 4 you, i got it out of a custom 2wd 3 plus 3.....its a lil sum baked and the sun made it look white, its charcoal.....the senter folds up to make it a bench and has 2 cup holders arm rests and a storage compartment.
