Cool HID headlights *LOOK*

those housing suck nuts.

the "projector" is a peice of junk held out of focus and doesnt focus light, it dulls it.

Do nut run HID's in that it will only blind other drivers and give you a crappy beam pattern with light spread in all sorts of bad spots.

I was burned by a set of "cobra" headlights for my mustang, they turned out to be cheap Chinese ripoffs... They were so bad that you couldn't even drive the car at night. They claimed to factory replacements, looked great and fit great, but were just unusable!!! I read so many posts on thirdgen of guys that were disappointed in similar setups, and the price is just too low for real projectors.

The projectors are junk. You can buy replacement bulbs that do a good job. I run silverstar's. I heard that PIAA makes a nice bright replacement bulb if you have the euro lenses

Agreed. I was *just* reading another forum where some guy bought those and reviewed them. Look closely and you'll see the glass in the middle is just a piece of glass ... and that's it! The bulb is then recessed back BEHIND the lens and the housing, so it's worthless in terms of light output.

On top of that, those photos of the bulbs? Those have to be photoshopped or pathetic lights. There is NO WAY you can take a photo of an open filament like that and still see anything around it, like the glass or the base of the bulb.

Save your cash!

I like the idea of using the stylintruck conversion housings. I think they use an H4 or 9005, something like that. If you really want to do it right, go that route and get some HIDs to fit that housing.

Personally, I would only run this set up for my HIGHBEAMS. That way I can drive without blinding people, yet turn them on and get loads of light offroad. That is if you don't want separate offroad lights.

Yeah proyectors suck....and that seller is odd i contacted him asking for tech stuff for some lights and the guy gave me the same **** the add says so i knew he doesnt now ****.... styling trucks have nicer housings like mentioned above.
