Yeah but there are a lot of teeth on that flexplate with only a few on the starter. That gives you a bunch more gear reduction. I don't know how much power the starter motor is capable of but it is probably somewhat close to the ~5 hp motors on winches. It looks like it might work ok but it is gigantic, heavy, and looks like it could have issues with gear deflection and overall strength issues using the flexplate. Just my .02 of course.
