Cooling questions

Soo.. blew the gaskets between the waterpump and block yesterday. A waterpump is 26 bucks my cost at napa. A new 3 row rad is 109. Fixin the rad I have 4 row brass, is 40-60 bucks.. I dont have any issues with over heating now even with the hole.. Should I have mine repaired or repair it myself or buy a new rad??

Replace the water pump and have the 4 row professionally repaired. Done.

Why cut corners?

Why even consider going to a smaller rad (for more money!)? Not over heating with a 4 row has no relevance to how the cooling system with a 3 row smaller radiator will behave. It would probably cool fine but the 4 row has way more capacity and ability.
