I need to replace fan clutch, someone at work said to go with a straight fan no clutch(flexfan).
I think this would help at idle for my ac, I guess.
What should I do replace clutch and add an electric helper fan??
Or straight flexfan?? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Replace the fan clutch. At higher rpms a flex fan will flatten out and effectively block airflow, plus they are somewhat dangerous. Many shops refuse to work on vehicles with flex fans as they have a rep for losing blades now and then.

I have a fan clutch for sale. Has maybe 24-48 hours /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif of use on it. I replaced mine about 5 months ago with this one, truck has been parked for about 4 3/4 months due to the truggy build. I am going to run my radiator in the back so I won't need the fan or the clutch anymore. I paid $100 new, will sell it for $65 plus trip. Let me know. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
