I recently pulled a core support from a jy. The engine compartment was already cleared and one fender removed. It was pretty easy to get out. My question is: can I install it into my truck (89 sub) without removing the fenders? While I am at it, a new condenser and radiator are going in so they will be out of the way. It's hot out and I'd rather not tear off body parts if I don't need to.

Any other advice is appreciated too. Thanks!

2 guys be best but yes you can tweek the fenders out a bit and worm it in there. wont be easy . put tape on paint edges 2-3 layers thick to keep from scratching stuff.

but its 1 bolt top by door under hood when up / 1 in side on a piller with door open / 1 under on back side of fender threw to rocker on bottom back of fender. keep track of shims and locations. also 2 bolts per side to hold hood spring arm's . dont let hood slam you in head.

slow and steady it will be fine ether way .

Thanks...I will attempt it with the fenders on. I will post back when done, in a week or two (waiting for parts). Now I just need to bribe a friend to help me in this heat!

Yes, you can remove/install the core support with the fenders on...with a little fanagling.

The cracked and flimsy "made in Taiwan" support I replaced weighed about 2/3 of the OEM one I put in. It was a real piece.
