I started this project out with a complete 1977 c10 with a badly bent frame in the front pulled everything from the frame up off and installed on a 1985 k10 rolling chassis everything fit up except when we got to the core support the mounts seem to be about 1 inch back to far reading other forums some guys need to move them and some guys say they dont. The second issue i have is the core support sits to high i did have to use universal body mounts as the oem style are unavailable but the universals measured the same height as the old ones the core support has about a 2 inch gap between the top of the frame rail and bottom of the core support so the engine fan is not sitting right in the fan shroud. I have looked at a bunch of different factory trucks through all the years of the squarebody and it appears all the core supports sit the same hight. So maybe someone has meadurments or an idea of what i have going on

Dude. That is so hard to read, knock that thing into a couple of sentences and put some spaces in there

Anything wrong with just taking the rivets out and putting the supports where you want them? Or run the newer front end?

Dunno

@Jamcc85 The body bushings are different between 73-80 vs 81+ because of this the hole in the bracket is different, is it possible the bushings aren't seating correctly causing the misfit? If so, Energy Suspension and Daystar both make replacement bushing, you'd just need to buy them to fit the frame not the body.

You may also need to verify the core support isn't bent or twisted since the old frame was hurt in the front.

I had some too thick that came in a kit once. And I used a portaband to cut them in half. Not a perfect fix. But with doing that and one shim I got it to work
