I plan on going to a pick and pull and I would like to know what trucks came with a 14 bolt ff and or dana 60. Also if I put in 5.something, can I still drive on the highway with 38's?

Older 3/4 tons got the 14 bolt FF rear. All one tons got the 14 bolt rear and had the D60 front if they were newer than '77 and 4 wheel drive. Not to be negative, but they are pretty hard to find lying around in junkyards...there are a ton of people that know what they're looking at when they see it and the D60 fronts don't last long in the yards anymore.
"5.something" and 38's on the freeway. Two questions...do you have overdrive, and how fast do you want to go?

5 something gears on the highway? I'm gonna say "You drive 55... if that".

Yeah, i have standard gears....i think 3.something, and i cant go more than 75...i gotta fix the engine i think

Those gears with 38's and an OD trans would be OK. Without an OD trans, I would never do that to my engine.
