Correct coolant for 6.2 Hmmwv motor?

Looks like my 84 jimmy has only water in it. The low coolant light is on as well.
That's the way I got it and am working on it now as its road legal.
The engine is a military hmmwv engine not the stock one with the emissions exempt tags etc.
What fluid should be in there?

Afaik the green stuff was the only coolant used back then. And the military likes to keep things simple and have a universal coolant for all their vehicles.

If it is the 6.2, yes, green antifreeze is the stuff (we) use.
 
Crap....
Ok if its a 6.2 I guess the usual 50/50 mix.
How Can I tell if it's a 6.5?


By the way.... all those interesting signature lines remind me of why I've been trying to move to Colorado for the last two years. Thanks for keeping me focused and feeling not so alone here in Florida. Didn't come here voluntarily.:ignore:
