I got tired of using mismatched tools and wanted to get the correct one for ball joints on my 1991 Chev Suburban. I have the 1988 service manual. The manual specifies a Kent-Moore J9519-30. I haven't found that exact one. However eBay has a J9519-23 for sale. Can anyone tell me what the difference is? Thanks.

General use OTC tool does just fine never had a problem with it . I get wanting the factory tool but there is nothing fancy about it over a aftermarket setup like the OTC .

I'm not any help with the question, but i think it's fun to try and find the original tool from the shop manual.

Hell none of the GM agencies had much in the way of Kent More. Only the few tools that absolutely had to have to do a particular job that became common.
@sweetk30 is right, the OTC ball joint press adapter set is closest to KentMore, though I've never had the Kentmore in my hands.

I’ve been using Snap-On, Blue point, Mac, and Matco tools my entire life as a mechanic. Now that all my tools are home. I replace them with craftsman when I break stuff.
I’ve more than once made a tool, when I didn’t or couldn’t get what I needed
