what is the cost to rebuild a stock 350? not looking for high performance. would like to get longevity

why rebuild? I have a nice reliable vortec 350 sitting in my garage that I could sell you for $700. Oh, and look, we are in the same state:-)

buy a good you hear running used or get a stock or slight performance built reman. then you get warrenty. and its cheeper for both.

and if used motor hear it start dead cold. and look at temp gauge and fell motor for dead cold. might sound quiet warm and crap cold.

theres a million ways to answer that question. It all depends on what you want to reuse, and what condition the engine is in to begin with.

i would guess you will spend an average of 900-1500 do have a shop build it for you.

How much are the Goodwrench crate engines now days? They use to be a decent deal at $1200.

I have rebuilt them with MINIMAL machine work for under $800.

I have seen people get away with no machine work and just the cost of the kit. IF you have a very clean engine to start with I suppose new rings bearing and gaskets would work, but not with my luck.

I wouldnt rebuild one without a new cam and timming chain and gears.

so for maybe $300 with ZERO machine work. I still think its risky.
