I spool'd my dana 44 and I love it so far. It is more work to get around tight corners and whatnot, but if you are on a budget it will get you to the top of trail while an open diff leaves you stranded

why not get thick gears? run 5.13 thick gears and you can use the carrier you have. they are cheaper than thin ones anyway. then you can run a lockright if you want.

I didn't see any thick gears avalable for a D60 front. I have them for my 14 bolt rear though. For the D60 I have a ring gear spacer that does the same thing as a thick gear set but I'd really like to avoid using it.
