costom bumper mounts

I am going to make a per runner bumper and dont know if I need to use .5" plate or if I can get away with .25" plate for the mounts that bolt to the frame

I will be mounting a HS9500i to it when I get one so sould the mounting local for the winch be .5" or .25"

.5 for the winch cradle and frame mounts .
u could probly get away with 3/8s tho

1/2" thick steel seems way overkill to me, but I'm no enginneer. I don't ever seeing anything on a truck with steel that thick....I would check around some more.

On mine we used 3/8" Steel Plate for the fraame mounting.....
