could i fit 33\'s??

im looking for some cheep mud tires to toss on my rig since inm in serious need of better tires. i was thinking along the lines of mud king, dunlop radial mud rovers, and general grabber m/ts all in a 33/12.5/15 size. thing is is that i dont have any lift as of yet and with my current financial sititation i prolly wont have one for a while. what all would be involved in this. do i have to cut/trim the fenders or should it fit ok and only limit flex?

I'm still trying to find out if I can fit the 33's cause the 35's are not my cup of tea /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

You will have to trim your fenders a little so that they don't rub. If you don't trim then every time you hit a curb or turn just right you will rub pretty good

Get GoodYear workhorses, or SuperSports from walmart...both pretty damn cheap

If you've still got factory rims or aftermarket 8" with the same offset, 33's should not rub much if at all. I've got General Grabber ST's 33x12.5x15 on factory rims, and they don't rub. Even when I hit a bump, the springs bottom out but tires don't rub.

well i kinda wanted to keep the tires i got now on the factory wheels as spares for when gas gets outa control or i go on a long road trip. i could always pick some up at salvage yard though. i was thinking maybe just getting some mud kings. any body know anything about mud brutes? or were i can get info on them.

Re: could i fit 33\'s??

yes you can fit 33s, my truck just about rides on the bumpstops and it has 33s with no rubbing, now the tires have modified the rear of the front opening a little, but no rub at all now

Re: could i fit 33\'s??

Well the General mud kings are great in the mud...(not as good as a swamper though)..BUT the side wall SUCKS Monkey.a**..LOL
They do wear very well on the street too....Just Again the side walls are not that good..IMO..( I have them now)
The BFG's would be better for street wear and tear but they have a higher $$$ amount...
