Could it be done? Would it be wrong?

Would it be possible to run with a 3/4 ton 14 bolt rear axle and keep the 1/2 ton front axle as long as the gearing was the same??
Its my DD/Tow rig so I am not running it hard. Just currious....

My brother in law ran a 14bff for years with his stock 10 on front. It worked great. My 3/4 ton Burb has a stock 14bsf rear with a 10 bolt front.

just get yourself a set of 8 lug hubs so you can run matching wheels. The 10 bolt vs. Dana 44 debate has been discusssed to death.

I ran a 14 bolt/44 combo with 35's for years.
