I think I figured out who stole the truck listen here:

A few months ago I was in an all night diner around 2am and I was with someone and looked outside and saw a big town car. I was saying wow I wish I had that, it looks like fun. A guy from the next booth over said I could have it for $2,500 because it had 308,000 miles on it. I said I would pass, but we started talking about cars and I said I had my Blazer with 350hp ya know stuff like that and he saw it later that night.

I saw this person 2 more times, same place same time. The final time I saw him I told him about this 65 Chevy I just got and how bad the wiring was. He told me he does that stuff himself and he could do it for me if I wanted him to. I asked when he could look at it and we agreed that he would right after we finished eating. 3AM. So I asked him what he was doing out this late every night and he replyed with "Robbin." I was like ok. So we went over to my place and looked at the truck. He was the one that told me the engine was from the 80s, this that.. he had a ton of knowledge and was showing me pictures of a few projects he has done off of his laptop.

So later I ask him if he wants to come up and just hang out for a little while. He said something I still don't understand. "No I can't because I don't know you too well. What if I see something I shouldn't?" So anyway that was the last I saw of him. This guy knew where I kept my Blazer (on the street), he knew what it had, he knew that I stay out at night and it was stolen at 12:04pm, he probably knew too much.

Also when we discussed the wiring he said we would take items instead of money. Guitars, speakers, radios anything.... maybe I was really stupid to let this guy come over because well... I don't know.

I have his full name, business company name, number and that's it. What do you guys think? I might pass this off to a "connection" tomorrow and at least have someone check him out.

Sorry this is in the garage, but it does relate to my truck. :wink1:

1st off, very sorry to here your rig was stolen. I REALLY hope you get it back.
Ummm... hello, mcfly!!! If his reply was really "Robbin" and you didnt ask him what his favorite bird to watch was:dunno:... well, you might want to think about how many phucked up people there really are out there especially at 3:00am! Not trying to be harsh or anything but there are very, very, very few people im meeting at 3:00am that are seeing my $hit:yikes:, definately not the same sex. Sounds rediculously coincedental, new your wiring? You sure you got "HIS" business info? Probably doesnt matter anyways but thats your #1 suspect, right? Have him checked out like you say and go from there
Die you scum sucking thieves, DIE!
Good luck and keep us posted.
Dustin

Speaking with 20 years of Police experience: give the info to the Detectives handling your theft. Let them hassle the guy and/or decide what to do with him. If it gets your truck back, do you really care if you piss him off?

ya man, i would do that, i would do ANYTHING to get my truck back, if you piss him off, who cares, i think its worth the risk, like everyone else said, he sounds like a sketch ball. go for it! good luck! o ya, is your "connection" a P.I.? i don't know much about them but heard from a couple people i know they work good.

Like my Pops use to tell me when I was in high school. "Nothing good ever happens after midnght." Good luck with you truck.

Thats funny... My mother used to say the only people out after midnight are drunks and cops, and that I dont have a badge.:haha:

Good luck getting your truck back.. Like the others here I would kill someone if they stole my truck.

sounds like it could be a good lead also keep an eye out for people like that man so many times ive had guys (drunks) want to check out my ride or a friends and when they dont seem to add up man you gotta watch who and what your doing. also find that mofo and start checking up on him. If he really said "robbin" your shoulda played along AND DONE HIM IN OUTSIDE LOL man i miss messing with theives...

dood, he violated you in a very personal way. (sounds gross i know) he took a prized posession of yours, that should piss you off VERY MUCH. return the favor. eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.:deal:

"an eye for an eye leave the whole world blind"....but hell, your trucks gone, take everyones eye out!:D

Having been one of the two groups out there (a cop) - your Dads are right. I tell my kids the same thing.

i guess i am the only honest person out late at night (besides cops). i get off work at 1:30am, there aren't many people out at that hour, and i typically avoid the ones that are.

No one has contacted me or any of the detectives. I'll call them tomorrow and a few Sergnts off of a Mercury Marauder club I am in want to help me too. Someone spotted a K5 Blazer on the south side of the city and it had the interior stripped and it was burned. I wanted to go over, but my friend won't tell me it's exact location and said he would check it out for me.

So later he calls and says it's not mine because the rims were aftermarket, it had a "rammer" on the front and cement in the bumper... it was a total gangbanger truck that was burned and the vin numbers were all missing. I asked why I couldn't see it and he started laughing. "Dude this was my old neighborhood. This truck was locked in the backyard of a drug dealers house, I broke in to look at it. I didn't want anything happening to you."

Guess I have a better friend than I thought and he knew the truck very well. All of that was from yesterday. I'll see what the detectives have to say tomorrow because I'm going to call them.

Dude you got a ****ed up situation... I feel your pain, but who in the right mind invites "robber" over at 3AM? Seriously though, read your posts back to yourself and think "was this a good idea"...

Trust no one and shoot to kill brother... let this be a lesson learned.
