All loaded up and heading out in the morning to Phoenix (babagonoosh) house to pick up an engine then Williams for a couple days with the family. We will be in Moab Tuesday afternoon then motor swap in the park that night/ Wednesday morning. Haven’t given up hope yet! See you guys out there!
we left home around 12:30. we always go through payson and traffic there was pretty screwed up already, probably took 30 min to get through there instead of the normal 5.
No other major traffic, now that we're in Moab the traffic is surprisingly light. I'm guessing a lot of people cancelled their trips after the flooding.
We just got back from a Hell's Revenge speed run, also went up sand flat roads a ways to check out the damage there (not too bad). We hit Potato salad on the way back to town, drove up main street to see how bad it was and traffic is surprisingly light. We were planning on making dinner in the camper tonight, but it didn't look to bad downtown so we're going to Dewy's.
Glad to hear everything seems to be ok. The rains this year have been crazy.
I've heard Kane Creek is completely washed away. Coming in from the top there's a 10 foot ledge you would have to drive down. We may go check it out later this week.
We were supposed to run that Saturday.
Well, you can. We just got back from running it. It's a bit washed out, especially after hamburger hill, but possible.
