I have a 5 blade currently. Wondering if anyone has a 7 blade sitting around. Would rather buy/ship one from a member than spend time in a junkyard right now. I pulled a 5 blade, then saw a 7 blade and passed, now I'm just angry with myself for pulling the 5 blade first. :doah:

Not that I want to sound stupid but, you are looking for one for reverse rotation, correct? I got a new Vortec one from gmpartsdirect for about $40. Part #15024813.
Plastic 11 blade goes on to a TBI clutch.

Could you tell me the diameter of the fan? I might go this route if it pulls more air than the old steel fans.

I had to go measure to remind myself that it is 19" same as the 5 blade one I took out of my '90. My friends and myself have used these in '78,'79 and 2 '90 K5's. All have been installed with TBI fan clutches. I don't have any hard facts on airflow other than what can be felt by hand. I can tell you that I noticed less change in A/C temps at idle, but still no facts. I have seen the '78 make a lot of dust from the engine fan offroad with the rpm's up some. Mine was $50 with shipping, I looked at the invoice.

Well, looking to help keep the 400's temp in check. It stays at 190-200 using a 180 stat. It's really good at staying at that except when I end up sitting idle for some time and its wicked hot outside.

I have not been able to find a fan that fits the shroud any tighter. And I can't find one that will bolt on that is larger that 19". I had a 9 blade from a '99 454 truck and it was 19", and was steel. I think the worst part is finding a good clutch.

I run the HD Hayden clutches but I think 5 blade just isn't enough. Wondering if the big steel 7 blade would be comparable to a small plastic 11 blade can.
