ok i finally got a round pattern 205 and i was thinking about doing a 241/205 doubler but.... i am still kinda broke lol

my 241 is leaking again after i welded up the case where i cracked it last year so what would it take to put the 205 behind my nv4500?

and also my splines are wore pretty bad on my nv4500 output shaft so i was wondering if i could use my 205 with the long input to get more engagement on the splines or maybe put a 1 inch spacer if i need to? has anyone done this before?

and my belhousing bolts are all helicoiled so i don't want to remove the bellhousing can i replace the output shaft with the tranny still installed? i found one used for $50 and new for $168

As far as putting the 205 behind the 4500, here is what I have ran into:
Originally I found a round pattern , long input 205, lots of reading led me to believe that if I swapped to a short input I could bolt it directly to the 4500 and stay a little shorter overall. It was said that I would have to grind/clearance some of the tail housing to clear the shift rail.
I mocked the combo up like that and the amount that needed to be removed was more then I felt comfotable with ( for strength reasons). I ended up using the AA adapter ( basically a spacer) and swapping back to the long input which allows you to grind only approx 1/4" of material for clearance.

Yup, output shaft = mainshaft. It's a full dis-assemble, and there is an assload of stuff that needs to come off the mainshaft...

i should be able to unbolt the trans from the bell right? and also i have the internal slave will it be any different? and is it going to be a complete tear down or just the rear half?

You'll have to tear down the whole top 1/2 of the trans and while your at you need to upgrade the nut on 5th geasr if it hasnt been done yet.If you dont have a press you better make friends w someone who does.Biggest things is be careful cause their is alot of expensive parts in there.
