I have 6' springs for the rear, but want to do a shackle flip for the better ride, etc. Is there a way to keep my 6" springs and do a schackle flip without gaining any lift?

Also which u-bolt flip kit is best for the $.... Checked ord already, $82 for 2 small metal plates and 4 u bolts seems very high... Anyone else make a kit?

as far as the U-bolt flip kit..

I bought mine from Rough Stuff Specialties and it has held up great and is good quality for the price.

Its $120 i believe a good deal..i also got the spring perches too--good stuff

as far as the shackle flip... why dont u remove your original shackle mounts and flip them over, swap sides and now its a reversal with no lift

Yeah I don't need perches, just the plate and u-bolts. Was going to replace the U-bolts anyway, which I can get brand new u-bolts, all 4 for $18... Which is why I say $82 seems very high to me considering the plates cant be that much. May just have to make my own and sell a kit for a much more reasonable price...

I bet you won't be able to do it for much less. Between the quality materials and the time to make a spring plate, as well as the tooling to bend u-bolts, cut their threads, supply the nuts, the welder, the cutters, etc. it adds up. I was surprised/disappointed at how much that stuff costs too, but when I considered it, it made sense.

We have the plates on their own for $42/pair

Guess it's been awhile since i've built anything, seems it's all more $ now... Looks like i'll be making another ORD order.. BTW crossover steering went on without a hitch

Ummm, doing a shackle flip doesn't improve the ride quality... it's the stock springs with less arch that improve the quality. Rough riding lift springs will still ride rough with a reversed shackle.
