? greasable shocks? look old, what are they from?

1970'S era Class 3 Jeep. Don't have a clue how they mount, I'm gonna take the pics over to a dezert board to find out.

looks like they mount the way a stock k5 steering stabilizer would. They have their own stud just put them through a mounting hole on the axle and bolt.
A single-shear connection? Boy I sure hope it's a stabilizer and not a "real" shock!
I sure wouldn't trust a connection like that on MY truck.

Sure as heck has thrown me the first time I saw them. I'm going to try to dig up some pics of them mounted. Considering the technology today, they are pretty scary looking.
