I have an 83 Blazer with 700r4 np208, had a 12 bolt rear......

I just mounted the 14bltff have not welded the spring perches yet need to center and get the angel but need the conversion U-Joint to get the right angle of the drive shaft and yoke.....

thing is I got the Napa 348 Conversion U-Joint which everyone on the other posts (yes I used the search) have said to use for a 12blt to 14bltff swap and it is not even close to the one I need  ....the 348 is a clip retained U-joint the one that is on my truck is the cap retainer type.......

Also the "1310" size of the conversion joint is smaller than the "1310" size on the stock joint????

Any ideas of what joint I should be using? :doah:

I know the 14blt is a "1350" but, what is my drive shaft size since it is bigger than the "1310" on the conversion and it is a "cap" retainer not an outside clip retainer like the conversion joint.

HELP i am wanting to weld these spring perches in the morning Napa is open at 9a.m. and I want to be at the door when they open with the right part number in hand.

Thanks for your help.

EDIT: jus searched found this 1310-1350 is Neapco PN - 3-3140
give it a shot in the morning

when i swaped out my 10b for a 14bff i bought the 1310 to 1350 u-joint but it was wrong. i had to put in a 244 to 1350 u-joint. i dont remember the part number but if you said the 1310 cups are smaller than what you currently have then i almost guarantee its a s44

yeah I am sure I can count 12 bolts even without using my toes :haha:

and the part number for anyone else with this problem is Napa p/n 447

thanks for all the help and inputs

the 447 joint is the conversion joint to go from a saginaw s44 to a spicer 1350. it's NOT 1310=>1350. you must have had a saginaw s44 joint originally.

isnt an s44 a 1310???

no, the 1310 is smaller than the saginaw s44, and the spicer uses different types of retaining clips than saginaw

i will see if i can find some old joints i can get comparison pics of for you.
