My best friend is a true cowboy. My brother & I found him a rusty 1972 Blazer.

He has been driving it for 4 years but it needs rocker boxes to be safe. He (cowboy) thinks everything can be fixed with bailing wire, duct tape, a hammer & pliers !

Is there a inexpensive "cowboy fix" for nonexistent rocker boxes ?

He married my niece and I want her safe.

Another buddy gave me this pic and said he saw in on CK5 Forum. I like the practical look of this repair. Has anybody seen this repair anywhere ? Any information/advice/direction appreciated.

Yeah, I remember seeing that here, looks a lot stronger than the factory rocker box actually.

Try this thread see if anything, gives you ideas. Do you weld?
Most of the older threads the pictures links are no good.

Maybe try search rocker sliders. Or rocker box on here. Many make rock sliders that also integrate the rocker box and roll cage if they have one.
