Coyote Boltless Beadlocks

No experience with them, but looking forward to your review on these. I was thinking of getting a set later this summer.
Any more details on your tire size/rim combo?
Let us know how the installation goes.

I'd love to try them, too bad they don't make them for 14" wide wheels.

I had them in my old wheels and tires. They're nice, but they need upkeep. Tubes rip, they suck to break down if need be, and they are heavy as hell.

These tubes seem really thick and the nylon has been upgraded too along with that sidewall material(Hopefully they learned from the past mistakes and got it right now). Heavy well ya, but I got me some HP to compensate for that, and what on our trucks don't need constant upkeep? I like the idea of being able to go down to 5psi and still go fast and not roll a bead on either side of the wheel. We will see. I am sandblasting my rims and doing a home brew powder coat to keep everything smooth.

If memory serves, your sopposed to use talcum powder to lube it while assembling them.

I never researched them....One question I do have is how much do they throw the balance off? I know at low speed it's not much of a problem, but at higher wheel speed can you keep them balanced?

@sponsoredbydad : Chris, I ran the Stauns on my truck and they worked great.... :waytogo:

They are a hassle to install and you have to drill a second valvestem hole in the rim to inflate the innertube to pressurize the beadlock itself.

The basic deal as I remember it is that you put one bead of the tire onto the rim, then you stuff the beadlock bag and innertube into the tire carcass carefully to you don't pinch or tear the innertube. You need to then pass the valvestem through the hole and lock it down (mine used a nut on the outside with an O-ring and curved washer.... I also used a small amount of RTV during assembly to prevent leaks).

Once the whole thing is inside the carcass you want to make sure it's not all twisted up and laying out as nice was you can... keep it away from the top of the rim to avoid tearing / damaging it as you mount the second bead over the rim.

The cool thing is that with the beadlock, you can then seat your tires just by inflating the tube....

I ran my 16.5" wheels at around 3 psi in Pismo with that setup and it was really awesome and no issues with blown beads, etc.

Yes I am looking forward to running fast with low PSI. They say the balance issue is offset with the nylon strap being double thick at one point so it balances out with the 2 valve stems.
