Hey Guys!
Need some info from those who are skilled in the art of coyote killing.
Some friends of mine who live in a not so rural part of town have had issues with coyotes taking one of their dogs, and getting kinda close to the house.
They've got neighbors on both sides, so the back yard is narrow yet deep, with woods on the back end.. I followed a bunch of tracks, and found an area where they might bed down if they are in the area..
I bought a distressed rabbit call, and tried to imitate the dying rabbit noises I hear guys doing on youtube videos for coyote calling..didn't produce anything.. since I'm limited by boundaries, and close neighbors, I stayed on the deck of the house where I could see a coyote coming into the yard, and I thought I would limit my "kill zone" to my friends property.
FWIW, my coyote destructor of choice is my trusty winchester twelve gauge loaded with double ought shells.
Any advice, or tactics you can recommend given the circumstances? I'm about ready to soak some hamburgers in anti freeze and leave them in the woods out back, far away from where any pets could get it.
How long does it take to get results with a call? I've never done it before so I'm guessing they didn't buy what I was selling..

Thats why they must be watched all day and you have to be able to locate their trails at the fence line or in deep brush. They're sneeky lil bastards, you gotta give them credit.
