Crack + NO2=?

don't know about where he's at, But he'd get that or more -if its in as good a shape as it looks- around here.

Yeah, that guy knows what he has. Someone will pay him for it. with a 10G budget, you could put some cheap paint, soft top, 5.3/4L60, and the trim back on it and have a sweet ride.

Guys, one could buy a nice running Blazer at this price, around here:

those are just the active ones from today. 3,5 g for a shell? nah.
I Guess this makes my rusty hull worth 6g, considering all the material in it.

What are you getting? a very questionable electrical system. a frame. a mismatched body, 10 bolt axles and rims and tires? For 3 thousand dollars? three THOUSAND dollars, USD?

Nah. :smokin2:

Believe me, I hear what you're saying. I don't totally disagree with you. But you can't compare the listings you posted to a first gen. They made half-cabs for 16 years. They made full verts for 3 years....many years ago. And considering it appears to be solid, I'd say it sells pretty fast.

The first gen has classic car status.

If the body and frame are fairly solid and paperwork is clean, I would jump on that if it were closer to me. My only hesitation would be that it doesn't come with a top but I see those for sale more than the truck themselves. My 10 year old wants one and I'd let it sit for a few years in storage until I was ready to build it.

I see first gens pull over $20 k regularly on eBay and the like, occasionally some 73-75's get some financial respect but rarely does a 76-91 get over $15k. I hope that one day they do as I, like most on this board, love our trucks but are severely upside down when it comes to investment versus value.

Since it has been 15 years since the Bronco's demise, and over 20 for our K5's I do believe that any type of vert, full size will start going up in value over next 10 years. It used to be on 55-57 Chevys were all that were worth money, then in the 90's it was 67-69 Camaros turn to see value increase. Now those good usable bodies are pretty much unavailable so it is turning to other cars. In the early 90's I was one of the few pumping money into a 1st gen Nova, now they have a heck of a following and the really tricked out restomods and pro-touring builds are gettiing into the 100k build price plus range.
