My rear shock mount broke, the top of the hole broke out. This is the one that is riveted onto the frame. the other side where it mounts directly to the frame has a small chip and a tiny fracture. How do i fix it, im bouncin around town!

Happened to me to. Nothing that a little 3/8 plate can't fix.

The frame is indented right there. I welded the plate in that recess, extending it above the frame. I drilled a hole in the top and mounted a new shock bolt to it and have had no problems since.

The other side, where the bolt goes into the frame, got a small piece of plate welded to the frame and the cracks in the frame fixed. No further problems. I'll see if I can find the pics.

you should drill a small hole at the ends of the cracks before welding them if you can get to them, it will relieve the stress concentration at the ends. Mine were cracked, I ground the cracks in a bit with the dremel and just welded the hole thing up since I'm moving the shocks anyways. You could probably weld a washer over the hole, I've heard of guys doing that to prevent the cracks from starting.

I agree. I drilled the cracks as described and they have not re-appeared; it's been two years since the repair.

I looked for some pics and can't find any. I'll see if I can take some more and post them up.
