My floor jack just started this. After raising vehicle with pressure still on jack and handle down. The handle starts to raise on its on.jack is over five years old.Is this a sign of needing rebuild. It lifts fine

It might be with all the other stuff missing or going wrong in my shop.Might also be my teenage son and friends. But seriously noonebelse hasn't had this trouble before from a floor jack

i have a craftsman 3ton jack and its always done this from day one when i bought it new..

I bent the frame on my 3.5 ton craftsman, the cylinder leaks, and it freaking sucks. Has from day one. Roommate has a 3-3.5 ton LARGE footprint one from costco. Can turn handle to lower, instead of having to turn teh bleed screw thing on my craftsman.

For the cost, if you use it regularly, go get the costco one or the harbor freight one.

It use not do it thats why I thought it might need rebuilding. How hard is it to rebuild one?Where to get a breakdown diagram?
