I have my 76 on a 4 in lift with 33x12.50 tires. I'm going for the 15" black cragar soft 8 series wheels however Im not entirely sure which ones I should get. Should I get 15x8 or 15x10? Im thinking about going wider on the tires in the future but with the same wheels like 13" or bigger so Im thinking a 10" wheel would be better???? Also can someone tell me what the bolt pattern is on a 76?

Bolt pattern is 6 on 5.5.

Either wheel should work. Just a matter of personal preference.

Ive ran 36x12.50s on a 6.75 wheel and right now Ive got some 36x14.50s on an 8 inch wheel. The wider wheels will make the tire shorter and wider while the narrow wheels will make it taller and skinnier. I just prefer wider wheels.

Thanks so what would you recommend to have that nice wide look? Im going to be trailing often but not always I just dont want any problems due to a narrower wheel in the future. Will 8's give a goood wide look?

If you want the wide look go for the 10s. My 36x1450s are almost all the way inside the fender with 8s. My 35x1250s stuck out about 2"s on the 10s.

This is where your backspacing on the wheels themselves comes into play, not just wide tire on skinny rim and so-forth.

4' lift, 35x13.5x15 toyo mts, 15x10 wheel w/ 4" backspace

Sorry about the crappy pic. its an old cell phone pic

Personally I wouldn't run a tire narrower than 14" or so on 10" wide wheel. Rather have the bead stuck to the rim more than the deep dish or sticking far out looks.

Should I go for 12's? I have a cousin who has a 79 Ford on 14's and its too extreme on the width for my taste.

Wheel or tire width?

I have 33x12.5R16's on 16x8's right now. Nice sidewall bulge to them but don't seem squirrelly side to side. Sometimes wish I had gone with a narrower tire but I spend more time on the road than off and am just a fan of narrower tires.

wheel width.

Hell no. WAY to wide. 10's should be fine up to 14-15" or so.

I would stay away from the 12-14s. I dont even like the way they look when they are that wide.

I'd go with 8's, because if you actually wheel it the narrower rim/tire profile will help keep the tires out of the sheetmetal.

Keep in mind also that the wider the rim the harder it is on wheel studs and hub bearings due to the added leverage provided by the wider rim. The further they stick out the harder it is.

A frind of mine with a 4" and 33x12.50x15's on a 15x12 inch rim switched to 15x10's after sheering all the studs off of the rear axle and losing a rim and tire coming out of the mountains. Unfortunately I don't know what the back spacing was but I can tell you that it was a deep dish 12" rim that suck out a bit.

Just something else to keep in mind.
