Saw this on my lunch break at work while cruising the tool section of craigslist and couldn't pass it up. Everything works great (even the side cylinder for raising and lowering the rails).

The plan is to put it to use as a press brake. I'm going to get it all setup so I can start bending parts like a pro and leave the torch, vise and BFH for other jobs. :D

Made some room for it's temporary home. I'm kinda running out of room.

Nice and heavy duty. Mostly only see the horrible freight junk.

I'll be back Ina minute.

Edit- didn't see anything. Lucky for my wallet.

Am I allowed to say I hate you? :D

I've been looking locally for one for about a year, retail on one of those is stupid high. When I get one I'll put it on wheels, rarely need it, but when you do nothing replaces one.

Thats a good press...its hard to find one like that here for less than 300 bucks, even beat up..

A friend is going to buy a 20 ton HF one so he wont have to send FWD bearings and knuckles out to be pressed any more--he's sick of having to tie up his lift for up to 2 days waiting for the few places who do that type of work to "get around" to doing it..

They charge anywhere from 30 to 65 bucks each to press one in too,and some parts store/machine shops refuse to press a bearing unless you BUY the bearing from them, which is usually quite a bit more $$ than their competitors..so he figures he'll save time and money having his own press, plus maybe make some quick money pressing customers bearings in on the side..

what did you give for it?

$500

I was going to shoot for somewhere around $400 knowing he'd counter and we'd end up around $450 but he was a super cool guy and we stood around talking about lathes and shop equipment for an hour before we even looked at the press. It all works including the side cylinder for lifting and lowering the cross beams so I felt fine at $500.
