So ima be replacing my crankshaft cause its broke and I'm gonna have someone help me that knows how to replace one an I was just wondering if I could buy a crank kit an that's all or what else do I need to buy. I have a 350 sbc

What caused it to break?

I would guess the rest of the bottom end is shot, and replacing the crank will get you nowhere.

Haha this is real and I wanna rebuild it cause I'm be going to school for high performance once I graduate high school so it will be helpful knowing some more stuff and I'm not so sure what caused it to break I had post awhile ago about low oil pressure and I think 88k5 told me maybe my oil galleries are clogged but there's a pretty loud knock in the bottom end so I'm pull the motor and take it to a guy and see what he says then rebuild it

Sounds like rod knock.

The crank might be fixable, probably not worth the cost over other options.

The rod thats knocking is toast too.

I'm far from an expert, but I'd say the thing needs a complete rebuild.

Every time I've used a block where the crank broke ended up line boring the mains.

Seen a few broke cranks, must have been flawed from.manufactureing

Also I dropped my oil pan to replace the oilpump an oil screen an found a piece of metal which my friend said it looked like a piece of a crank

Sentences man, use some periods in there. :doah:

I hate to be "that guy" but if you dont know that your engine is gonna have far more problem than just the crank after it breaks you're gonna need someone with far more experienced standing over your shoulder to teach you this **** as you go.

I agree with Brad, since it broke the crank the block may need machine work or AT LEAST strip it to have it checked.
