Anybody know where you can get a good ACDelco water outlet? The part that attaches to the upper radiator hose and sandwiches your thermostat to the intake manifold?

I think my stock one is warped and can't get it to seal. Missed work on Monday because of it...probably going to miss tomorrow and Thursday too.

Ordered a "Factory Air by 4 Seasons" part from Advanced Auto mainly because on Monday they said they could get it for me the next day - today. It showed up and wow...it looks like the rough cast of the part that someone would eventually machine down to the size of the GM part. All rounded edges and no definite shapes or curves. I was skeptical but I started putting it on...and one ear broke off before I even hit the 35ft/lbs torque rating on the lower bolt.:doah:

Rock Auto only has the 4 Seasons crap.
NAPA supposedly has a different maker part and the 4 Seasons crap but the part on their website looks JUST like the 4 Seasons one.
The local chain of autoparts stores only carries the 4 Seasons crap as well.

Now I'm trying to see if the two local GM truck dealerships can get it for me and if so, how much and when. I want an actual ACDelco part dammit!

P.S. I doubt there's anything in the local junkyards as they all scrapped these trucks a few years ago when scrap was very high.

If I had not already sold the water crossovers off of my extra motors I would have given you one...

It's cool. Getting two from balzer.

What do you think, stack two gaskets and see if my current one will seal or RTV the back of one gasket?

Get the grey atv sealant and use that in place of a gasket all together and it will seal.

mill that chit.... put it in a vise, and flat file it....
